EA 20S0237 Industry 62011 - Development of software and applications (except games and cybersecurity) About this opportunity : This role will focus on developing customized applications using the Workday Extend platform, helping to extend the native capabilities of Workday to meet unique organizational needs. As a Workday Extend Developer, you will play a key role in shaping business-critical applications by leveraging Workday's developer tools and frameworks. You will work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions within the Workday ecosystem Key Responsibilities: 1. Application Development: o Design, build, and deploy Workday Extend applications tailored to business needs. o Develop reusable, modular components following Workday best practices and security standards. 2. Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: o Engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze functional and technical requirements. o Translate business needs into technical design documents and actionable development tasks. 3.Integration & Connectivity: o Integrate Workday Extend applications with other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Financials) and external systems via Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs). o Collaborate with integration teams to ensure end-to-end data flow and process automation. 4.Testing & Deployment: o Conduct thorough unit testing and participate in system and user acceptance testing. o Support deployment activities, including migration to production and post-deployment validation. 5. Monitoring & Support: o Monitor application performance and provide ongoing support, enhancements, and bug fixes. o Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. • Continuous Improvement: o Stay current with Workday’s latest features, updates, and Extend capabilities. o Propose and implement continuous improvement ideas to optimize Workday solutions. Required Qualifications : • 2–5 years of hands-on experience with Workday, including: o Workday Extend application development o Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and integration tools • Proficiency in XML, XSLT, JSON, and REST/SOAP APIs • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts and secure coding principles • Ability to design scalable technical solutions from functional specifications • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for working with business users and technical teams Preferred Qualifications: • Workday certifications in Extend, Integration, or Studio • Experience with Workday HCM and/or Financials configuration and security • Familiarity with Workday Reporting and calculated fields • Exposure to Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines • Experience using JIRA or ServiceNow for development and ticket tracking #J-18808-Ljbffr
