Senior Mechanical Engineer - New Hampshire

Our client is a leader in precision automachinery manufacturing, driving innovation across industries from advanced materials handling to next-generation automation systems. They are expanding their team and seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about designing robust, high-performance mechanical systems for cutting-edge industrial applications.

Lead the design, development, and validation of complex mechanical components and systems for industrial machinery, including high-speed actuators, precision motion assemblies, and thermal management systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams—including electrical, controls, and manufacturing engineers—to define product requirements and ensure seamless integration of mechanical subsystems.
Perform detailed mechanical analysis (thermal, structural, and dynamic) using tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation to optimize designs for reliability and manufacturability.
Drive design reviews, risk assessments, and tolerance stack-ups to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet performance targets and regulatory standards.
Support prototype development, testing, and root cause analysis for product improvements and failure resolution.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing design efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product lifecycle performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
A minimum of 10–15 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in industrial equipment or precision machinery manufacturing.
Expertise in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred), GD&T, and DFM/DFA principles.
Hands-on experience with prototyping, machining practices, and working closely with fabrication shops or contract manufacturers.
Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production.
Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Arena) and document control best practices.
