Position Information The Postdoctoral Research Associate in Entomology will contribute to research conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center at Weslaco and the Texas A&M Entomology Department. May mentor students, write grant proposals, and present research at conferences. Job Responsibilities: Contribute to research conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center at Weslaco and the Texas A&M Entomology Department Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at professional meetings. Assist in writing grant proposals to secure external funding. Oversee and manage laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Mentor and provide guidance to graduate and undergraduate students in the lab. Collaborate with internal and external researchers to advance project objectives. Other duties as required. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Crop Protection, Entomology, Ecology, Biology, or a related scientific discipline. Good communication, computer, and presentation skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Preferred Qualifications: Strong publication record in relevant scientific journals. Experience in writing grant proposals and securing research funding. Ability to present research at professional conferences and meetings. Proficiency in experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation. Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage laboratory activities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
