Entry Level Equipment Engineer

This position is for an entry level equipment engineer at GlobalFoundries, supporting 200mm wafer FAB in Burlington, Vermont, USA. The candidate will be responsible for Metrology and CFM manufacturing equipment. Essential Responsibilities Include: Maintain CFM / Metrology equipment. Work with planners to maintain and add spare parts for tools as needed. Provide second-level support for CFM / Metrology equipment interfacing as needed with outside vendors. Maintain vendor maintenance agreements. Provide tool status and coordinate planned maintenance as needed for capacity. Interface with other fab modules and other groups as needed. Maintain inventory for critical parts to ensure sufficient quantities on hand. Work with the third-party vendors/suppliers to enable continued tool support. Setup repair paths as needed to ensure continued part support and reduce support costs. Create requisitions for the above, working with purchasing. Drive tool installs/relocations as needed. Assist with tool sourcing/fleet upgrades as needed. Create requisitions and follow up on POs for supplies as needed. Other Responsibilities: Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Required Qualifications: Education

Graduating with a bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field from an accredited degree program. Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing. Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) Preferred Qualifications: Prior related internship or co-op experience. Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong planning & organizational skills. Basic understanding of electronic knowledge such as voltage, current, resistance, capacitance. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a globally matrixed team or environment. Aggressive learner and a strong team player, multitasking, on-time delivery of assigned work. Expected Salary Range $54,200.00 - $110,300.00. The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
