7:00am-3:30am Cleveland Clinic's Westlake Medical Campus provides a wide range of outpatient healthcare services, including primary care, pediatrics, and family medicine, along with numerous specialties such as orthopaedics, gynecology, ophthalmology, podiatry, vascular medicine, audiology, and sleep medicine. The facility also offers diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, physical therapy, and a retail optical shop. The Nightingale Registered Nurse (RN) position harnesses the skills of an experienced ASC OR nurse who has recently retired but wants to transfer their knowledge to newer OR nurses within Cleveland Clinic. In this position, you will provide clinical nursing in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days between 7:00 a.m.

3:30 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide clinical nursing in the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Oversee the clinical practice of nursing in the ASC including assessing patient care needs and planning the delivery of care. Perform circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing the overall nursing care of patients before, during and after a procedure. Prepare ORs, surgical instruments and equipment for use. Perform scrub functions, such as the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during the procedure. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Provide health education to patients and families. Process patients through the ASC. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Three years of experience in the ASC OR RN position at Cleveland Clinic immediately prior to retirement. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willing to obtain upon rehire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon rehire. Demonstrated clinical competence. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's of science in nursing (BSN) Physical Requirements: Medium Work

Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
