As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for the final packaging of flavors, including powders, spray dry, liquids, emulsions, and extracts, following directions on each batch ticket. You will work closely with Batch Processors to ensure the packaging is completed with a focus on food safety, quality, efficiency, and accuracy. The role involves operating machinery such as mixers, spray dryers, and blending tanks, reading labels, and following safety procedures. Responsibilities

Package the correct finished product quantity with the correct label. Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Record operational and production data accurately. Transport materials, supplies, and products between work areas using equipment and sit-down forklifts. Understand the impact and importance of food safety and communicate any concerns to shift leads or management. Follow SOPs, including equipment sanitation after each batch. Essential Skills

Ability to read and follow directions and safety procedures. Experience with operating machinery such as mixers, spray dryers, and blending tanks. Understanding of food safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is beneficial. Good communication skills. Why Work Here?

This role operates in a Food GMP environment where there is a strong smell due to the nature of the flavors company. Employees are required to wear steel-toe shoes, a hair net, and no jewelry is allowed. Uniforms are provided, along with lockers for personal belongings. The role involves lifting and maneuvering boxes or containers up to 50 pounds, depending on the product type, with tasks rotating throughout the shift. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with varying hours. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauconda, Illinois. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
