Instructional/Classroom Aide
St. Peter Claver Catholic School is a Christ-centered microschool with blended classrooms, dedicated to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and social development through engaging instruction, community service, and the celebration of our Catholic faith. We are seeking an Instructional/Classroom Aide to assist teachers in implementing lessons, supporting students, and maintaining a positive, well-managed learning environment. This role involves preparing instructional materials, providing one-on-one or small-group assistance, and helping with classroom organization and supervision. Hours are flexible, approximately 15-20 hours per week, Mondayriday. Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred (college coursework a plus) Experience working with children or in a school setting is helpful but not required Warm, caring personality with strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and support the mission of the Catholic Church (practicing Catholics preferred but not required) Fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred Completion of Diocesan Safe Environment Training and Level II Background Check required Responsibilities: Assist with instructional activities under the teacher guidance Support students in completing assignments and understanding material Help with classroom management, organization, and supervision (including playground and cafeteria) Treat all students with dignity and respect while modeling Gospel values Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required Maintain confidentiality and professionalism If you are passionate about supporting student learning in a close-knit, faith-filled school community, we invite you to serve as part of our mission.
