As a PET Scan Technologist, you'll play a vital role in delivering advanced diagnostic imaging using Positron Emission Tomography (PET). You'll perform procedures aligned with physician orders and established protocols, ensuring high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and care. The PET Scan Technologist performs Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. This role ensures high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and care. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in nuclear medicine and PET imaging, maintains accurate records, and actively contributes to a collaborative clinical environment. Responsibilities

Operate PET/CT imaging equipment to produce diagnostic scans Administer radioactive tracers under physician guidance and per regulatory standards Prepare and position patients safely and effectively for procedures Maintain documentation of procedures, patient information, and radiation doses Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other imaging team members Monitor and respond to patient needs during procedures Ensure compliance with state and federal imaging standards and radiation safety protocols Qualifications

Education and Certification: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine (NM) or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) PET

certification is preferred If not currently PET certified, candidate must obtain PET certification within 18 months of hire BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required Prior experience in PET or PET/CT imaging strongly preferred Skills: Excellent patient care skills, including the ability to explain procedures and ensure patient comfort. Proficiency in computer processing and imaging enhancement. Ability to monitor and maintain quality control standards. Exceptional customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
