Job Title
Santa Cruz Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and thorough individual to join our team as a full time or part-time Janitor. This role involves maintaining a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment for residents and staff, encompassing both janitorial duties and laundry responsibilities. Responsibilities
Ensure a consistent supply of clean linens. Inspect and maintain linens, removing damaged items. Collect and process resident laundry. Label new residents' clothing. Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to procedures. Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms. Follow all sanitary laundry procedures. Maintain inventory of laundry supplies. Operate all laundry equipment and handle supplies safely. Perform general housekeeping in resident rooms and common areas, including vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting. Sanitize areas as required. Maintain the cleanliness of public areas like the lobby and restrooms. Clean handrails. Clean walls, mirrors, windows, and light fixtures. Empty trash cans. Sweep and mop floors. Utilize proper safety measures and signage during cleaning. Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in an orderly manner. Report equipment and facility maintenance issues promptly. Qualifications
Strong attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently. Good communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina required for standing and lifting. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Opportunities
