Chemist Position
Chemists are responsible for conducting a variety of analytical tests on cannabis samples, interpreting results, and ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of testing procedures in an ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory. Perform routine laboratory tests on cannabis samples, including potency analysis, pesticide screening, residual solvent analysis, microbial testing, and heavy metal analysis. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test methods to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with ISO 17025 standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for analysis, following established protocols and safety guidelines. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform routine maintenance and calibration procedures. Document test results, observations, and deviations accurately and promptly in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems. Assist with data analysis, quality control checks, and method validation studies as needed. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot problems, optimize processes, and improve laboratory efficiency. Adhere to health and safety protocols, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field. Prior laboratory experience or coursework in analytical chemistry is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow instructions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Benefits
