Facility Cleaning Position
This position provides a wide variety of cleaning services and other related duties required to keep the facilities in a clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities include cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and restocking hallways, stairways, offices, food preparation or break areas, offsite areas, restrooms, public areas, or other work areas as assigned. The role also involves dusting both low and high areas, wiping down or cleaning various surfaces, removing and transporting trash to appropriate disposal areas, using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks, maintaining a clean and orderly cart and storage areas, replenishing guest supplies and amenities as required, and recognizing and using proper PPE for the job task. Adherence to all safety policies, requirements, and training is mandatory. Additionally, the role requires reporting any material discrepancies, damage, and/or theft to the manager or maintenance department. The position may also involve other duties pertinent to the department or unit's success. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, at least six months of experience demonstrating a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes, the ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and callouts, and fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements include occasional exposure to moderate weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and a medium pace of work environment with medium customer interaction. The environment is an administrative office building where the employee is required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and/or 50 lbs. The employee is frequently to constantly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift. The associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic chemicals.
