Job Title: Instructional Aide / Paraprofessional
Elba City Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Aide/Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction, assist students with academic and behavioral needs, and contribute to a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and students to promote student success and help ensure the effective delivery of educational services. Minimum Qualifications (Must meet ONE of the following): Possession of a college degree (Associate's or higher) Completion of 48 semester hours of college coursework (verified by official transcript) Passing scores on all three components of the WorkKeys Assessment: Business Writing, Applied Math, Workplace Documents Responsibilities Include: Assisting in the instruction of individual or small groups of students Supporting students with special needs as directed by certified staff Preparing classroom materials and resources Providing classroom supervision Maintaining a safe and supportive environment Collaborating with teachers and school staff Performing other duties as assigned by the principal or classroom teacher Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with children in an educational setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Salary: Based on the Elba City Schools salary schedule and experience
