Asset Strategy Program Manager

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for an Asset Strategy Program Manager. This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of MDT's asset management program. Responsible for the development, implementation, maintaining and advancing a comprehensive asset strategy program that informs decision-making across all areas of the department (maintenance, operations, planning, engineering, and budget). Responsible for having data-driven investments that preserve the condition, performance, and value of MDT's transportation infrastructure over its lifecycle. This position will report directly to the Asset Strategy, Operations & Maintenance Manager and will have four direct reports. Six years of related experience. Three years of progressively responsible management experience. Alternative combinations of related experience or education may be considered. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of asset management principles, including lifecycle planning, risk-based prioritization, and performance-based investment strategies. Understanding of transportation data systems, condition assessment, and statistical analysis is essential to support data-driven decision-making and long-term infrastructure planning.
