Telemedicine/Community Paramedic
The Telemedicine/Community Paramedic functions as an essential member of a growing, innovative care team that provides high-quality, patient-centered services outside the walls of traditional healthcare facilities. Working independently, this position is responsible for delivering advanced clinical care, patient education, and community resource support in the home setting. The paramedic acts as a liaison between patients, families, and providersensuring continuity of care, reducing hospital readmissions, and improving health outcomes for medically complex and vulnerable patients. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, Associate degree preferred. Current NC Paramedic certification Certified Community Paramedic (CP-C) or obtain within first six (6) months of employment. (Delay in obtaining this certification must be approved by the Administrative Director for Telemedicine) Current AHA certifications in BCLS, ACLS, PALS or obtain within first six (6) months of employment. Current certification in ITLS or PHTLS or must obtain within first six (6) months of employment. FirstHealth Specialty Care Transport Paramedic credentialing required within six (6) months. Current valid NC driver's license, with a good driving history. Preferred; two (2) years full-time experience in a paramedic position, or two (2) years in an EMS leadership capacity, or a combination of paramedic or leadership experience and education
