Research Assistant II
The primary purpose of the Research Assistant II is to work with the Associate Director, of Research Planning and Development to oversee the daily laboratory and functional areas for the Department of Neuroradiology and to provide support to all laboratory personnel. The Laboratory Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of a small diagnostic research lab in neuroradiology. This position is integral to the smooth functioning of the lab, ensuring that research activities are conducted efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills with a particular ability to prioritize work in an environment with multiple interests. Flexibility, and willingness to take on assignments are essential. Knowledge of research equipment and techniques preferred. Skills in both verbal and written communication Job Specific Competencies Experimental Support & Research Assistance Inventory & Equipment Management Lab Space & Compliance Management General Lab Operations Requirements Education Required: Bachelor's degree in basic science. Preferred Education: Master's Level Degree in basic science. Certification Required: None Preferred Certification: None Experience Required: 1 year of Scientific or experimental research work experience. Preferred Experience: 3 years of Scientific or experimental research work experience. No experience required with a preferred degree. Onsite Presence: Required This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
