As Department Manager II, you will oversee your assigned team and area, coordinating all aspects of annual budgets, workflow, staffing needs procedure changes and related administrative duties. This role is critical to the organization, cohesion and functionality of your team, allowing you to make a difference at Cleveland Clinic every day. While you may not see how your work improves patient care, all you do is ultimately pivotal in the ability for caregivers to continue providing exceptional medical support and attention. This position is instrumental in overseeing our growing dentistry team, including dental assistants and dental hygienists. A caregiver in this position works days, 7:30am4:30pm or 8:00am5:00pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Manage department personnel and operations, including staffing, training, workflow analysis and performance management. Manage staffing to ensure appropriate allocation and compliance with goals and objectives. Monitor quality and financial performance. Ensure compliance with government health regulations, JCAHO guidelines, quality requirements and customer service standards. Recommend enhancement and cost saving strategies. Resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedure and policy application. Develop, monitor and implement programs to enhance customer service, develop skills and improve scope of service. Analyze programs and make improvements. Participate in meetings and relevant committees as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or a related field and four years of supervisory or management experience OR Master's Degree and three years of experience OR Associate's Degree and six years of experience. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Healthcare experience and Dentistry experience. Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment. May require extended periods of sitting, standing and walking. Must be able to walk to attend meetings; must have normal or corrected vision to normal range. Ability to clearly communicate by phone and in person. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
