IT Business Analyst - Mortgage.

The IT Business Analyst's role, to support systematic Mortgage functions, is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the project and maintenance related business needs of stakeholders, whether they are customers or end users. Foundational to this is the Business Analyst's relationship with business clients understanding their satisfaction with IT services. The role includes interviewing stakeholders, planning for, gathering, compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle and analyze risk gaps to mitigate loss or create alerting for teams to review suspicious activity. Additionally, the Business Analyst will support the redesign and development of effective and efficient business processes which leverage technology capabilities. The Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support development, maintenance, and problem resolution processes, and to ensure that deliverables are met according to specifications. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring IT's understanding of business requirements and the fit-for-purpose of Sunflower's applications.

This role will be focused on supporting the Mortgage team and applications used by this team. This includes escalation of issues to the vendor, analysis of data and recommendations, testing and validation for integrations. The IT Business Analyst will work closely with the line of business to understand integration data requirements, troubleshoot data file related issues and gaps or errors identified during daily processes and implementation of integrations.

This position is under consideration to work fully remote.

Business Analysis Support the Mortgage line of business in identifying areas for technical innovation and opportunities for enhancements, evaluating relevant technologies (products, services, and platforms) and vendors to ensure the bank is regulatory compliant. Participate in projects and contribute to initiatives, including handling complex requests from business and operations teams. Query, analyze and model transactional data from operational databases, internal data-stores, and data warehouses. Participate in the optimization and automation of current systems and procedures and contribute to the building of new processes to enhance the overall Compliance program. Assist with data-testing exercises as part of implementations and ongoing integrations between core systems and Mortgage related systems. Build strong, collaborative relationships with business units, facilitate Business Unit satisfaction with IT Services and act as a bridge between IT and the business Increase Business Unit understanding of IT standards and controls applicable to the services they receive from IT. Work with business units to plan and make sure they understand the relevance and impact of IT changes to their operations Chart existing business processes in order to define current business activities for the development of process and procedures. Act as an escalation point for major issues with any aspect of service delivery and contribute to both the reactive and proactive resolution of the issue Work with stakeholders and the IT team to prioritize collected requirements, and coordinate with the Project Manager as requirements impact scope, budgets, and timelines. Assist in conducting research on software and hardware products to meet agreed-upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts. Conduct interviews to gather requirements through workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements - verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/the project team. Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicate these back to the business stakeholders. Liaise with business unit to facilitate implementation of new or improved business processes. Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary. Liaise with other Business Analysts, Project Managers or IT staff to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach and plan for applications Application Support

Manage, maintain, and enhance ICE Mortgage Technology's Encompass Banker Edition. Design, implement and maintain workflows, templates, pipeline views, business rules, custom input forms, reports, user access and other system functions. Work with department leads building and changing workflows. Monitor system and data integrity on a day-to-day basis. Monitor support requests as received and provide assistance to users to resolve issues. Provide support to clients via email, phone, or other methods. Manage the change request process. Test and coordinate Encompass releases. Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company. Responsible for developing and maintaining systems and applications in alignment with SBNA security controls and standards related to protecting sensitive data for compliance with Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA). Responsible for adhering to Software Development Lifecycle policies, standards, and processes. Responsible for ensuring all new assets owned by are identified in the CMDB with complete configuration item data. Assets owned must be maintained to adhere with all Asset Management Policy, Standards, Processes and work instructions. Education/Experience Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience. 3 to 5 years of Mortgage technical experience, including an understanding of related technology in the financial services industry. Mortgage experience is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology or business analyst role Knowledgeable of all applicable bank rules, regulations and compliance requirements. Demonstrated knowledge of the organization's core business process and operations. Proven experience with business and technical requirements elicitation, analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology, verification. Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies, skills and software. Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts. Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action on it. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail. Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure. Strong customer service orientation. Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Tempo Planner highly desired Experience with Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies highly desired Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. High level of adaptability to organizational and technological change. Must be able to work flexible hours. Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
