Athletic Assistant Position
The Athletic Assistant will be counted on to provide administrative support to the athletic director and coaching staff. Qualifications include a four-year degree preferredexperience may be substituted. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, internet, and team scheduling software is required. Trustworthy with the ability to maintain confidential information, strong organization skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills familiar with the "language of sports," and the ability to work in a complex team-oriented environment are also necessary. A willingness to help others in the department and the college community, the ability to work independently, hire and train student employees, and experience working in the athletic-related field are preferred. Major responsibilities/duties include assisting in eligibility, tracers, and other NJCAA related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director, purchasing equipment and apparel for the Athletic Department, working with Scheduling and Conference Services and the Athletic Department in scheduling the Athletic Facilities, assisting the Associate AD in Travel for all teams, assisting athletic trainers with medical clearance forms, assisting the Athletic Director in tracking budgets, and assisting in the planning and executing of athletic events such as but not limited to Tournaments, Fundraisers, Banquets, and Athletic Hall of Fame. Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Some evening and weekend work is required.
