Clinical Pharmacist III Ambulatory Retail Specialty
The Clinical Pharmacist III Ambulatory Retail Specialty works in a specialized ambulatory or community pharmacy area. Working under moderate supervision, this role provides patient care in their specialty area, engages with providers, pharmacy staff and may supervise patient advocates and/or pharmacy technicians. Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient. Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public. Supervises and evaluates pharmacy technicians. Precepts students and residents. Functions at a higher knowledge base and competency and spends the majority of time addressing complex situations or works on project improvement initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
