Litigation Legal Assistant

A leading litigation defense practice is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to join its Pittsburgh office. This role provides essential secretarial and administrative support to up to three attorneys handling complex litigation matters. This firm has a terrific reputation in Pittsburgh and extensive tenure amongst their support staff. Interested candidates should have 5+ years of Litigation experience preferably from a defense firm. Responsibilities: Draft, format, edit, proofread, and finalize pleadings, correspondence, and reports. Open and organize case files, prepare conflicts checks, and maintain litigation profiles. Prepare and e-file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal courts. Manage attorney calendars, including trial dates, hearings, depositions, inspections, and related deadlines. Coordinate travel arrangements, expense reports, and vendor invoices. Track and edit prebills in line with client guidelines. Organize and maintain incoming/outgoing mail, case deadlines, and time entries. Qualifications: 5-10 years of litigation defense experience, including trial preparation. Strong knowledge of county, state, and federal court rules and procedures. Proven experience supporting attorneys through depositions, oral arguments, and courtroom matters. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple cases under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented demeanor. Proficiency with iManage and ProLaw is a plus.
