Coho Integrated Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Admissions & Disposition Clerk to support patient registration, records management, and administrative operations within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of admissions, discharges, transfers, and patient records in accordance with government regulations, local policies, and medical standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Greet walk-in patients, screen and redirect calls, respond to routine inquiries, take messages, and escort patients as needed. Create and process pre-admission charts in the electronic medical record system, ensuring all forms and documentation (e.g., advance directives, third-party liability) are completed. Verify, update, and enter patient demographics; review encounters daily for accuracy; scan and correct forms as necessary. Track and report patient movement, bed status, ward transfers, and casualty notifications in accordance with government policies. Coordinate patient transfers between wards and to outside facilities. Register all new Emergency Department patients, print required forms/labels for trauma cases, and initiate trauma protocols (Levels 13). Support diagnostic and specialty care coordination by contacting MRI, Ultrasound, Radiology, CT, consultant services, and other departments as requested. Schedule patient follow-up appointments during discharge per provider request. Ensure timely scanning and uploading of medical documents into the EMR system (within 24 hours of care completion). Prepare and submit reports, including the nightly Daily Count for the Nurse of the Day; send certified letters for abnormal results when phone contact fails. Participate in Emergency Department drills (trauma, mass casualty, code blue) and assist EMS in gathering additional demographic information. Submit required preventive medicine forms (e.g., rabies exposure, CDC, heat/cold injury) and ensure patient records are accurate, complete, and properly identified. Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency. Completion of Medical Terminology training. Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
