Traveling Chef/Kitchen Manager

Salary: 70-85K plus travel expenses This is a remote position with significant travel. We prefer Chefs with experience in Healthcare Dining. Metz Culinary Management is growing and we are excited to announce a Travel Position in our Healthcare Division for an experienced Chef/Kitchen Manager role that requires travel throughout varying locations, and durations, providing account coverage, training, and support. Our Traveling Chef must be available to join the leadership team and provide Kitchen Management and Culinary Direction to our AMAZING Team Members and ensure our Guest Experience is beyond expectation. We are seeking a Culinary Leader, with a mentoring management style contributing to a culture of fun, creativity, and growth. If you have the CULINARY CHOPS and passion for current, trending, and diverse menus, and are ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, district setting, we would like to hear from you. Must have solid kitchen leadership experience. Experience desired in a Contract Dining Food Service setting such as Hospital, School, College, Senior Living, or Corporate Dining accounts. A strong Supervisor with solid Culinary Training, ready for the next step would be ideal. All Travel Expenses are covered. Requirements: 3-5+ years in a Supervisory Experience or Sous Chef or Exec Chef role Able and willing to travel 50-75% Impeccable communication skills Restaurant Management knowledge Thorough knowledge of Menu implementation with STUNNING presentation ideas Catering Experience Culinary Degree strongly preferred Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the culinary arts, including hot and cold food preparation and presentation Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent management and organization skills Works well when under pressure Analytical skills necessary to coordinate, control, and problem solve in a complex operation Technical skills necessary to develop area procedures related to the specific operation Basic computer skills, including timely email communication, Microsoft Office, menu, report, and document writing Bachelors or Associates degree or classically trained, 5 years experience recommended ServSafe Certified, AllerTrain Certified Notes: Reports to the Corporate Healthcare Division Chef Traveling to Division accounts as directed by the division Chef to: Conduct culinary training of company chefs and production teams Ensure company standards are being executed Support new account openings Displaying exceptional team-building skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with visitors, staff, and all levels of management Ensures that staff is engaged in all hot food production, cold caf food production, and supply acquisition Ensuring continuous compliance with all regulatory agencies and facility policies Provide weekly and site visit reports to appropriate personnel Assists in the development of quality and production standards and goals Demonstrates skill in food preparation, garnishing, plate presentation, and service Instruct chefs and production staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, for presentation of food and cleaning of the work environment Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow company standards and regulations Portrays the highest level of personal cleanliness and professional conduct & appearance Metz Culinary Management Values are what separates us from the competition. The Regional Executive Chef's primary role is to serve as a leader and support resource to General Managers and Executive Chef's Culinary Program while balancing the needs and goals of our Client-Partners and business goals.
