3 Mhc Nurse Technician

3 MHC is a 24 bed Prep/Recovery unit at Meijer Heart Center that prepares and recovers both outpatients and inpatients for their Cath and Electrophysiology Lab procedures. The unit is open from 6am

9pm. The majority of 3 Heart outpatients are discharged the same day and are cared for by the same staff from arrival to discharge. Experience as a Nurse Tech is preferred, and flexibility with scheduling and ability to attend all required orientation classes that are not part of the regular core schedule during the first weeks with this team, is a must. The pace of this unit is very fast and includes doing our own patient transport within the hospital. We perform a wide range of procedures on 3MHC, including, electrophysiology, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, structural heart, and peripheral. Team members hired onto 3MHC will gain knowledge in all of these specialties. In addition, we perform diagnostic and follow up care to our heart and lung transplant patients, creating an opportunity for long term relationships with this patient population. Our team are experts at IV starts, time management, and managing vascular access sites. Our NT's remove femoral arterial and venous sheaths and manage the site to gain hemostasis. The heart and vascular systems demand extraordinary care. It begins with heart specialists who can expertly monitor your entire heart and vascular system and perform anything from a bypass to vascular surgery to a heart and lung transplant. Discover a true continuum of heart and vascular care. Through research, innovative treatments, and best practices our teams are advancing heart and vascular care for the patients we are privileged to treat. Scope of Work
