CAD Technician
We are seeking a skilled BIM Modeler/CAD Technician with expertise in electrical or mechanical systems to join our dynamic team. As an experienced Electrical Designer with a passion for BIM, you will be involved in MEP-based projects, contributing to innovative solutions for complex Data Center facilities. Responsibilities
Design and develop detailed Revit models of Electrical building systems. Prepare and publish construction documentation for Electrical building systems designs to meet scheduled deliverables. Update and modify existing models, studies, and construction documents as required. Participate in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution. Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations. Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers. Collaborate with internal groups as well as external suppliers, consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Work independently with occasional guidance within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks. Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of design/engineering experience with Electrical Building systems or Mechanical Plumbing on mission-critical facilities. Minimum of 2 years of experience using Revit for producing complex BIM models and construction drawings for Electrical or Mechanical building systems. Practical knowledge and understanding of codes and safety regulations related to the MEP industry. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience related to Data Center design and construction. Experience with developing Revit Family content. Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Dynamo, RF Tools, CTC Tools, and Procore. Awareness of building systems (Electrical or Mechanical). Work Environment
This is a 100% remote position, ideally suited for candidates located in the greater Seattle area who can occasionally visit the office. You will be part of a creative and efficient DS BIM design team of 35, dedicated to delivering data center designs. We foster a culture of good energy and a willingness to learn the processes used in our BIM group. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
