Associate General Counsel
The NYC Department of Design and Construction is looking for an Associate General Counsel to conduct various types of legal assessments with increasing complexity. Responsibilities include handling a diverse range of duties and responsibilities effectively while exercising initiative and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment. This role involves reviewing and drafting contracts and internal policies, providing legal advice on a wide range of topics related to DDC's program needs, conducting legal research, reviewing and revising contract documents, performing litigation support activities, reviewing agency responses to the public, evaluating conflicts of interest, assisting with real property issues, preparing funding and security agreements, assisting with procurement appeals, and addressing issues related to agency employees. Qualifications include admission to the New York State Bar and either one year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state bar or six months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne. To be assigned to the appropriate level, candidates must have relevant experience in the areas of law related to the assignment.
