Molding Technician

The Mold Set-Up Technician is responsible for operating injection molding machines to produce parts according to specifications, while also performing mold changeovers and equipment set-ups as needed. This position plays a key role in meeting daily production goals by monitoring machine performance, performing adjustments, and ensuring parts are made safely and efficiently. Job Location: Yorba Linda, CA Job Salary: $20-$25 DOE Schedule: 6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri Key Responsibilities: Operate multiple injection molding machines to produce parts per work orders Monitor cycle times, machine performance, and part quality throughout the shift Make routine adjustments to maintain consistent production and reduce downtime Handle material loading, color changes, and equipment start-ups/shutdowns Package, label, and move finished parts according to production requirements Set-Up & Changeovers: Install and remove molds, fixtures, and auxiliary equipment per schedule Prepare machines for production Verify machine settings and documentation for each job before starting production Assist maintenance and supervisors in troubleshooting and repairs Production Support: Maintain accurate production and downtime records Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean and organized Follow all safety procedures and report hazards immediately Assist and train other operators when needed Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and company needs Inspection & Measurement: Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools Complete associated inspection documentation accurately and on time Qualifications: 1-3 years of injection molding operation and/or set-up experience preferred Knowledge of molding machine controls, auxiliary equipment, and mold change procedures Ability to read blueprints, follow work instructions, and use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers Basic mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issues Basic computer literacy for entering production data, completing inspection paperwork, and using machine interface systems Ability to follow work instructions and production schedules Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail Dependable with a positive attitude Safety-conscious and quality minded Company Overview: Precise Aerospace Manufacturing Inc.
