Landfill Gas Technicians
SCS Engineers is currently seeking Landfill Gas Technicians to support one of their landfill sites in Orlando. This person will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks, in order to support the landfill gas systems. Responsibility includes various operation, maintenance, inspection, and tasks, including pump maintenance, flare maintenance, well raising, pipe fusion, reading gas levels with a gas meter (GEM500 or Envisions), inspections, etc. The Technician is responsible for daily, weekly and monthly reporting. They will oversee project work and assisting as needed. Will need to be able to walk up and down a landfill site and work outside in the elements. Landfill, gas well, methane, trenching, mechanical, repair, service, blueprint, field service Landfill, gas well, methane, trenching Top 3: Must Needs: Mechanical experience, Problem Solving abilities, and Understands Computer Technologies Qualifications: -Must be mechanically inclined and have a technical experience. -Reliable / on time & dependable -Previous work experience outside in elements -Ability to pass MVR -40 HR Hazwoper not required, but is a plus. -2 years of experience working as a landfill gas technician or pump technician is preferred. -Must be able to handle the outdoor conditions on a very large landfill site. Must own their own steel toe boots when they start (we may be able to provide a boot voucher in certain circumstances) Entry Level The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
