Incident Investigator Specialist
Appointment Type: Seasonal Full Time Overview: This is a non-supervisory position that will provide on-mountain expertise in investigating incidents and rescues. The Incident Investigation Specialist reports directly to the Director of Patrol, Ski Patrol Manager, Avalanche Mitigation Manager, and Patrol Supervisor. This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by the Solitude Ski Patrol Union. Key requirements: Must be employed as a Solitude Mountain Patroller The ability to demonstrate expert risk management and documentation skills The verbal ability to testify and understand lines of questioning at depositions and trials on behalf of Solitude Mountain Resort Expert computer skills in regard to risk management, electronic documentation, and 1Risk Ski Patrol Level 2 or above Duties: Attend risk management trainings as coordinated with patrol leadership Properly document incidents in a timely manner Coordinate and gather all pertinent incident paperwork from responding patrollers Gather photos, and measurements of red flag incidents Respond on mountain or base area when an incident investigator is requested Communicate red flag incidents to Director of Ski Patrol and Ski Patrol Manager Testify on behalf of Solitude Mountain Resort Job description is not inclusive of all responsibilities and may be modified as deemed necessary by operational needs.
