GCP Data Migration Engineer

We are seeking a GCP Data Migration Engineer with 6+ years of data engineering or related experience, and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, experience in migrating data from Teradata to GCP, and expertise in using various GCP tools, including Cloud Composer and BigQuery. This role requires deep experience in data migrations, particularly with structuring and migrating data into the appropriate formats for GCP. Key Responsibilities: Perform data migration tasks from source systems, such as Teradata, to GCP using various GCP tools (Cloud Composer, BigQuery). Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to move data from claims systems and other upstream sources into GCP. Work with source systems to ensure data is formatted correctly for migration into GCP. Collaborate with teams to design and optimize data structures for GCP storage and processing. Ensure smooth and efficient migration processes by utilizing GCP features and tools. Provide hands-on development expertise with Python and SQL in data migration projects. Continuously improve and optimize data migration processes for increased efficiency and accuracy. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 6+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields. At least 2 years of experience with GCP, specifically in data migration tasks. Strong background in data warehousing, with an understanding of how structures are built. Hands-on experience in migrating data from Teradata to GCP. Proficient in working with various GCP tools such as Cloud Composer and BigQuery. Experience in migrating data and structuring it in GCP (not just data replication). Expertise in Python and SQL for data migration and transformation. Strong knowledge of Teradata and how to migrate data from Teradata to cloud platforms.
