Medication Aide-Nurse Aide (Med Aide)
to join our team. The is a full-time position within our Skilled Nursing department. The Medication Aide-Nurse Aide must be a compassionate and professional individual willing to carry out Penick Village's vision and goals of delivering the highest level of care to those we serve. The
Med Aide
will provide care to the residents living in Penick Village's skilled nursing. Their primary role is to protect, sustain, and nurture the residents by providing assistance with medication administration, activities of daily living, and meeting other needs as required. The core goal of the
Med Aide
will be to provide assistance, which promotes a high quality of life and a positive resident experience. As part of an interdependent team of skilled and caring people, the
Med Aide
must act in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern Penick Village, to ensure that the highest quality of resident care and safety is maintained at all times. Recognize and respond to the needs of residents Provide and maintain a home for residents. Administering of medication. Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc. in an informative and descriptive manner. Use only authorized abbreviations established by this facility when recording information. Report all changes in the resident's condition to the Director as soon as possible. Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift that they occur. Ensure that the resident's room is ready for receiving the resident (i.e., bed made, name tags up, admission items available, etc.) Greet residents and escort them to their apartment/suite. Introduce resident to other residents and personnel as appropriate.
