**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. As an ICU nurse, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients experiencing life-threatening conditions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients. - Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing procedures. - Monitor vital signs and patient status, intervening as necessary. - Administer medications and treatments per established protocols. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a healing environment.
**Qualifications:**
- **Licensure:** Current New York State Registered Nurse license. - **Certifications:** - Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (certified through the RQI system during clinical orientation). - Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire. - CPI certification within 90 days of hire. - Preferred: Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association and TNCC within 2 years of hire. - **Experience:** Previous ICU experience preferred, but not required.
**Skills and Competencies:**
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. - Proficient in managing multiple priorities and exhibiting teamwork. - Capable of assessing and responding to the individual needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. - Computer literacy and experience with electronic medical records preferred.
