Inventory SupervisorJob Description SummaryRole Overview: The Inventory Supervisor manages and maintains inventory levels, overseeing daily activities of inventory staff, analyzing data, and ensuring record accuracy. The role involves developing and implementing inventory control procedures, assisting with ordering and replenishment, and requires eCommerce/3PL experience.Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze inventory levels and customer purchase trends to ensure availability and meet goals. Develop, implement, and update inventory control procedures to minimize losses and reduce costs. Supervise receiving and stocking of inventory items. Accurately record and document inventory data. Provide guidance and leadership to inventory staff. Review inventory records and transactions for accuracy. Track inventory levels and report changes or trends. Establish and execute cycle count schedules per corporate accounting objectives. Investigate and reconcile cycle count discrepancies (shortages/overages). Maintain a safe and secure inventory area. Organize and facilitate shrink meetings to identify root causes of inventory loss. Prepare and submit reports to management.Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree or 2 years' experience as a team lead/supervisor in warehousing/distribution. Must have eCommerce and 3PL (third-party logistics) experience. Previous experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role. Proficient in inventory management principles and practices. Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills. Bilingual (language not specified). Strong attention to detail, quality control, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Clear understanding of warehouse distribution and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills and basic math skills. Excellent judgment, delegation, and issue escalation skills. Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance.Work Environment: High-pressure, time-sensitive warehouse setting. Noisy and potentially cold conditions.Physical Requirements: Lift up to 49 pounds repetitively. Stand/walk for 10-12 hours. Push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements. Engage in physical activities like climbing, lifting, balancing, and handling materials. Comfortable with varying noise levels.Visual Acuity: Ability to assess work accuracy and product quality.
