The role involves working with patients who are newly diagnosed with cardiac disease, post cardiac procedures, and those on cardiac maintenance therapy under the care of a cardiologist. Basic cardiology skills are required. The nurse to patient ratio can be 1:22. The duties include rooming patients, calling in prescriptions, returning patient calls, and completing patient forms. Candidates must possess previous charge experience and familiarity with the Epic charting system. The daily census may average around 20 visits per day. The patient age groups served will include adults and geriatrics. Candidates are expected to be available to work at least one holiday during the assignment period.
