Medical Technologist (MT)Location: Togus VA Medical Center - Togus, MEEmployer: Veterans EngineeringType: Contract - Labor HourPeriod of Performance: September 29, 2025 - September 28, 2026OverviewVeterans Engineering is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist (MT) to provide laboratory services at the Togus VA Medical Center. This role requires proficiency in multiple laboratory disciplines, a commitment to quality and compliance, and the ability to deliver professional, patient-centered service to our nation's veterans.ResponsibilitiesPerform testing in chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, and phlebotomy.Operate and maintain automated and manual laboratory instruments.Perform quality control checks and maintain compliance with CAP, HIPAA, and VA regulations.Accurately identify patients and process specimens.Rotate through various lab sections based on operational needs.Document and resolve testing, processing, or reporting issues.Provide safe, professional service to patients and staff.QualificationsNational certification as MT, MLS, or CLS (ASCP or equivalent).Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in all listed disciplines.BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certification required.Strong technical proficiency and fluency in English.Ability to meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements.ScheduleEvening and Night shifts; weekend and holiday rotations required.Must be flexible to work any shift based on laboratory needs.Why Join Veterans Engineering?Be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services to our veterans while working in a collaborative and professional environment.
