Develop machine tool centric manufacturing processes:- Select order of operations Cutting tool selection CNC programming Design and implement robust work-holding Collaborate on in-process quality controls
Operates CNC machine and other various equipment
Continuous improvement and 6S:- Diagnoses issues with the machine and parts program Measures parts to ensure finished product has correct specifications Identifies material defects in raw castings and finished parts Corrects inadequate measurements Daily clean-up
Mentors, trains, and develops apprentices
The expertise you’ll need to succeed:
MasterCam software experience is preferred Experience with multi-axis machining Highly motivated Works efficiently in high pressure environments Accepts constructive criticism 5+ years industry experience preferred Overton Industries offers comprehensive benefits:
