Pay Information $2,530 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Clienttion Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years in Clienttion Oncology License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS required; Chemo certification preferred; OCN certification preferred Must-Have: - EPIC documentation experience - Outpatient oncology experience - Port accessing and peripheral IV starting skills Description: Rad Onc RN for clinic seeing all cancer-related diagnoses. Common diagnoses include lung, breast, colon, brain, GYN, and others. CT simulations are conducted for diagnostic purposes, with and without IV contrast. Nurse accesses ports and starts peripheral IVs. Provider support includes interpretation services, pharmacy, and social services. First-time travelers are welcome. Required skills include care and management of ports. Knowledge of external radiation therapy and radiation safety precautions is essential. Experience in total body irradiation is preferred. Wound care, including alterations in skin and mucous membranes, is part of the role. Candidates should be familiar with managing symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, dysphagia, edema, and nausea/vomiting. Experience dealing with altered mental status and neuropathy is beneficial. Ideal candidates will have experience in patient and family education and support. Successful applicants will be comfortable working with a daily census and managing patient visits. This role requires strong communication skills with interdisciplinary support services.
