Whether you are a seasoned professional or a recent graduate, our supportive environment and commitment to career growth are designed to empower you.Salary: $85,220 - $138,984 per yearEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Ensure the validity of test results through the performance of established quality assurance and quality control procedures. Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers. Enter data from analysis of medical tests and clinical results into computer for storage. Prepare specimens for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation, performing numerous complicated tests simultaneously, and accurately interpreting them. Monitor, screen, and troubleshoot devices, tests, and procedures, recognizing anomalies, and making corrections to ensure quality.Minimum Position Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician program (required). Certification as MT/CLS (ASCP) or MLT/CLS (ASCP) required. Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Demonstrated ability to manage time and stress effectively to maintain efficient operation of the department. Strong commitment towards teamwork and patient safety.Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a high-volume lab environment, specifically with blood bank duties. Experience in a healthcare setting in a similar capacity preferred. Advanced certifications or specialized training in laboratory medicine. New graduates with completed clinical internships in a high-volume lab will be strongly considered.Skills: Proficient in the use of laboratory information systems. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively explaining complex data to non-technical staff. Demonstrated proficiency in the standard techniques and procedures required in the field.
