We are proud to offer competitive benefits and industry pay as well as the opportunity for career advancement to all our team members.OVERVIEWThe Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including the careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation of prescriptions for the pharmacist's verification. Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations.RESPONSIBILITIESPull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks)Accuracy check of final preparation prior to presenting to pharmacistFill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacistAssist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose of per procedureAssist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume timesPackage materials and products manuallyFollow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAAMaintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shiftAlert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properlyComply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress codeOvertime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expectedOther duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needsQualificationsQUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredPharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practicePrevious pharmacy experience required (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)Knowledge of brand name/generic medicationsAble to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageAble to work at a moderate speedAble to work during inclement weatherReliableGood organization/Attention to detailAnalytical/Problem solverAble to physically perform light liftingMust be able to work various shifts and daysPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per dayThe employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittentlyIt may be necessary to work extended hours as neededMay lift and/or move up to 50 poundsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this roleHOLIDAY & PTO POLICYPaid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility.Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the business needs.BENEFITS for full-time employeesMedical, Dental,Vision, and Life insurance401 (k) (available for Part Time & Full Time EEs)Short-term and Long-term disability insuranceTuition reimbursementPersonal Time Off (PTO)Competitive pay with annual performance reviews and merit-based raisesCareer growth potentialAnnual on-site voluntary Flu VaccinesEmployee referral bonus program
