Job Description Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Adult Care
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team for an exciting opportunity in an acute care hospital setting. This position is tailored for professionals specializing in adult critical care with experience working in high-pressure environments. The ideal candidate will work three 12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult patients in a Level II trauma center, including patients requiring acute respiratory support. - Administer all forms of respiratory therapy, including but not limited to NIV, high-flow nasal cannula, nebulizers, CPT, and nitric oxide. - Assist with the management of patients on various ventilation systems including Draeger and Servo-I. - Conduct advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy and ABG interpretation, as well as troubleshooting high-pressure alarms. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes through effective respiratory care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, preferably in an adult ICU or trauma setting. - Current BLS and CRT certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred. - Familiarity with Epic charting system is necessary. - Candidates must possess the ability to interpret ABG results and manage critical care respiratory interventions effectively. - NICU/PICU experience is a plus but not required.
Work Schedule:
- Shifts: 3x12 hours (07:00 AM - 07:00 PM) - Weekends are required. - Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks.
