The Travel Emergency Room RN provides high-quality, compassionate care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Key Responsibilities
Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting with emergency medical needs. Administer medications, treatments, and life-saving interventions as prescribed. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans. Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner. Respond to trauma and critical care situations with appropriate protocols. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards. Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of Kentucky or compact state. Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills. Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a high-acuity environment. Preferred Qualifications
TNCC and PALS certifications. Experience in travel nursing. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems. Working Conditions
Hospital-based Emergency Department. 12-hour afternoon to midnight shifts. May include weekends and holidays. Fast-paced, high-stress environment with exposure to trauma cases.
