Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit
Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Contract Duration: 90 Weeks Holiday Rotation: Every 3rd F/S/SEOH, including at least 1 holiday during the assignment
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical Unit. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to our Medical Surgical patients while also being prepared to assist in the Emergency Room when needed. Your role will involve assessing patients, implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Medical Surgical patients. - Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team. - Transition to the Emergency Room side when an ED patient arrives, providing appropriate care. - Participate in holiday rotations and adhere to staffing schedules. - Maintain up-to-date certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS, NRP. - Ensure compliance with patient care protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse license. - Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. - Experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
