Ambulatory Operating Room (Rutledge Tower) Shift Options:
4x10-hour days (6:30am - 5:00pm) or 3x12-hour days (6:30am - 7:00pm), Monday-Friday Duration:
13-week contract Hours per Week:
40 Weekend/Call:
No weekends, no call, no major holidays Guaranteed Hours:
May be called off up to 10 hours per 2-week period Estimated Weekly Pay:
$1700-$1820 Qualifications - Operating Room Registered Nurse
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative nursing) Previous travel nursing experience required Active South Carolina RN license or proof of application/walk-through eligibility BLS certification (American Heart Association) Proficiency with Epic EMR charting system Preferred experience in: Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology First-time travel nurses not accepted Ability to float within perioperative healthcare facility Radiation badge (provided) Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Responsibilities - Travel Operating Room RN
Circulate and/or scrub in diverse surgical procedures: joint replacements, arthroscopies, plastics, surgical oncology, ENT, OMFS, ophthalmology, GU, GYN, pain, and colorectal surgeries Maintain strict infection control and patient safety protocols Operate specialized equipment: lasers, arthroscopy towers, Neptune suction/smoke evacuation systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, interpretation services Precept and mentor care team members in the operating room Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November) Ensure accurate specimen handling and labeling Document patient care in Epic EMR system
