Travel 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Ideally crossed trained in all 3 areas of OB (labor/delivery, postpartum, nursery). C-sections occur on this unit with assistance from our surgical team. Knowledge of sterile technique and experience as circulating nurse/surgical assist would be beneficial. Breastfeeding education and assistance for our patients.

2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Epic, Stork, Pyxis

3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2 years as an OB nurse would be ideal.

4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) NPR, BLS, ACLS

5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) 36 hours/week, weekend hours, some call if needed but not mandated, will work as a team

6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) When/if floated would include patient sitting and tasking RN duties, no patient assignments on other units.

8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 1:3-4 PP; 1:1 labor

9. Dress Code: Facility provided OR scrubs

10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Would be beneficial to complete our program for surgical scrub/assist due to limited surgical resources on 3rd shift.

Additional Comments: We would need at least 2-3 travelers. We have 2 pending FMLAs starting mid-May and beginning of June for maternity leave and 1 expected turnover. All on 3rd shift.
