Position Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN), where you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialized care and education for patients with enterostomal therapy needs. In this rewarding position, you will assess patient requirements, initiate care plans, and adjust strategies based on ongoing evaluations of health outcomes. You will collaborate with patients, their families, and medical staff to enhance patient wellness and recovery. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement best practices in patient care. Consult with physicians and staff on innovative care techniques and patient management. Contribute to departmental goals, adhering to policies and high-quality standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate care for patients with various GI, GU, and integumentary issues, including stomas and pressure ulcers. Evaluate and manage the utilization of clinical supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness. Conduct follow-up patient assessments including telephone triage. Provide group and individual education to patients and their families on relevant health topics. Maintain meticulous records of activities and patient interactions. Stay updated on the latest research and technology to enhance educational programs for staff and patients. Document all interactions regarding patient education clearly and maintain patient privacy. Engage in multidisciplinary teams focused on quality improvement and service enhancements. Fulfill additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team. Serve as a consultant for comprehensive patient care management, including assessment, planning, and discharge coordination. Qualifications Education:

Valid RN license required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience:

3-4 years of clinical experience in enterostomal therapy and 1-2 years of teaching or precepting experience. Licenses and Certifications:

WOCN or ET certification is mandatory. Skills:
