Job Description Job Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
Job Summary: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a Night Shift position. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with a focus on Med-Surg, and Telemetry experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to start ASAP and is comfortable working in a mixed pediatric-adult unit.
Shift Details: - Schedule: Night Shift (3x12 hour) from 18:45 - 07:15 - Ratio: 1:5 - Every other weekend coverage required - Float between units as needed
Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including those with pediatric needs. - Manage feeding tube care, IV therapy, and phlebotomy. - Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a high standard of patient care. - Document patient care using Meditech; familiarity with this system is preferred. - Adhere to safety protocols and infection control practices. - Be flexible and responsive to the needs of the unit and patients.
Qualifications: - Current BLS and NIH certifications required; ACLS and CPI preferred. - Must have a valid nursing license (OK or compact state license). - Prior experience in a medical-surgical unit is essential. - Experience with telemetry is a plus. - Willingness to work with a mixed pediatric population. - Must include any requested time off (RTO) with your application.
