Straton Industries, a leader in precision machining for the aerospace and other precision industries, is growing and were seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector to lead by example, mentor others, and ensure the highest quality in our aerospace division. We are currently seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector who thrives on precision and excellence and can step into a hands-on leadership role within our aerospace QC team, guiding and mentoring others in a collaborative capacity, with the potential for this role to evolve into a formal supervisory position in the future. This position offers the opportunity to guide day-to-day quality activities, mentor fellow inspectors, and influence process improvements while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and leadership within the aerospace QC team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
High-level programming and operation of CMM with PC-DMIS software (Required).
Process and manage deviations for both customer and internal projects.
Mentor and train junior inspectors to build a strong and capable QC Team.
Perform complex inspections using both manual gages and advanced programmable equipment to verify conformance with specifications.
Document inspection results with accuracy and clarity, using both forms and software systems.
Follow and ensure adherence to procedures, work instructions, standards, and customer-specific requirements.
Required Skills and Experience: 7-10 years of Quality Control experience in precision machining. Proven high-level programming and operation of CMM with PC-DMIS software (Required). Proven ability to guide, mentor, and influence team members to achieve quality goals. Expertise in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Aerospace industry experience a plus. Proficiency with tools such as comparators, microhites, micrometers, calipers, and indicators. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9100.
