Travel General Information • Beds: Outpatient clinic
• Minimum Experience: 1.5 years of nursing experience - system requirement
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
• Average # of patients seen per day - • LPN - Approximately 15-25 patients per day with CA support
• Travelers must live >100 miles away from facility
• Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
• Patient Types: • Medical Oncology/Chemotherapy Infusion
• Required Certifications: • RN: BLS • OCN preferred, but not required
• LPN: BLS
• Required Education: • RN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
• LPN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
• Skills required: • RN: Chart checks, Rooming patients: VS, weight, Review of systems check, medication reconciliation • Must be comfortable to be trained in other supportive areas, as needed, to include but not limited to: Assisting with Physicians, Referrals, etc.
