Job Title: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Location: Herrin, IL Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Shift: Nights Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team in Herrin, IL. In this role, you’ll provide high-acuity care for patients requiring close monitoring and timely interventions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care, while promoting safety, comfort, and dignity at every stage of recovery. Key Responsibilities: Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team. Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person. Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition. Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills. Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care. Participate in continuing education. Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
