We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Project Engineer
to support and drive real estate development projects from concept through completion. Based in our Chicago office, this hybrid role requires 4 days per week on-site and close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and contractors. Key Responsibilities: Support project planning, design coordination, budgeting, and scheduling for real estate development initiatives Interface with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and efficient execution Review plans, specifications, and construction progress to ensure adherence to design intent and project goals Assist with permitting processes, regulatory approvals, and compliance tracking Monitor budgets and timelines; flag risks and coordinate mitigation efforts with project stakeholders Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and status updates for leadership and development teams Contribute to RFP processes, vendor selection, and contract negotiations Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field 2–5 years of experience in project engineering or construction management, ideally in real estate development Strong knowledge of construction processes, design coordination, and project lifecycle management Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar tools) Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders Seniority level
