The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is a dynamic, cutting-edge center of intellectual life at Morgan. The Department currently has over 200 undergraduate majors. In addition, the Department offers Certificates in Criminal Justice and Anthropology (for its majors), as well as minors in Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice (for non-majors). It has a nationally-ranked Master of Arts / Science in Sociology program and is expanding a Ph.D. program. Job Duties
Teach graduate seminars and courses Supervise graduate or master’s thesis Lead and support graduate students’ dissertations Be an active researcher Sit on departmental committees Support departmental community outreach and recruitment activities Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics
Sufficient teaching experience (preferably at the graduate level), publications, and other academic accomplishments to be considered for classification as Associate or Full Professor at Morgan State University. Competence in applied and public Sociology Required Minimum Qualifications
Earned a PhD in Sociology or a closely related discipline
